Maoist Centre to take ‘special’ move to get amendment proposal registered -

In a bid to garner support and cooperation to file the constitution amendment proposal, the ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) has decided to take ‘special’ initiatives to win the hearts of those political parties including main opposition CPN-UML which is strongly objecting to the idea, in this regard. The meeting of the central office of the Maoist Centre held at Prime Minister and the Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday also decided to hold talks with all sides to amend the constitution while acknowledging that it would be imperative to go for the amendment to get the disgruntled groups along. At the meeting, PM Dahal apprised the attendants of progresses made from bilateral and multilateral discussions between major political parties in relation to the constitution amendment and ongoing talks and cooperation between various political parties to this effect. Spokesperson for the Maoist Centre Pampha Bhusal informed that the meeting decided to take effective initiations to seek cooperation from all sides relating the amendment. Now the politburo meeting of the Maoist Centre was underway. -
